Current listing titleRiverfront Cabin -Riverside, Pet Friendly, Pool Table
What we found: Listing Description says “room for 10 guests.” The booking overview and maximum-guest rule say 14.
Why it matters: A group needs one clear answer before booking.
What to do: Establish the approved maximum, then correct Listing Description and the guest-capacity setting/rule so they agree. The proposed copy avoids a number until this is settled; it does not choose a limit from bed arithmetic.
Listing areas: Listing Description, guest capacity and maximum-guest rule.
Evidence: Public listing captured September 24, 2026: 10 in the introduction versus 14 in the booking overview and rule.
Other evidence and limits: Bed types alone do not establish the approved occupancy. No review proves which number is correct.
What we found: Pool tables and board games are advertised but absent from the retained amenity list. Essentials and Private entrance are marked not included. A grill is reported in the property photos and Guest G’s September 2025 review, but BBQ grill is not selected.
Why it matters: Airbnb has search filters for Pool table, Board games, BBQ grill, Essentials and Private entrance. Features described only in prose are not recorded in those amenity fields.
What to do: Select Pool table and Board games. Check that the pictured grill is currently for guest use, then select BBQ grill if it is. Correct Essentials if you provide toilet paper, hand/body soap, a towel and pillow per guest, and linens for every guest bed. Resolve Private entrance: Airbnb’s entire-place definition includes one, while this cabin’s amenity setting says it is absent.
Listing areas: Airbnb amenity editor and public amenity list.
Evidence: September 24 capture: 40 included amenities and 2 not included. The listing itself promises pool tables and board games. Guest G mentions a grill on the upper porch. Current Airbnb guidance explicitly lists these search filters and defines Essentials and an entire place.
Other evidence and limits: The supplied deck photo does not clearly establish a grill. That observation comes from the reviewer’s other photo inspection and the older guest review. Neither alone establishes present availability, fuel type or supplied fuel.

What we found: The short introduction already sells river access and games, but The space begins with rules. The supplied photos show riverside fire-pit seating and a covered deck with a hanging daybed and outdoor dining.
Why it matters: Guests see only a few lines while comparing search results. Their praise for river activities, together with the supported outdoor and game features, gives a concrete picture of this stay before they open the full listing.
What to do: Review the stronger title choices, separate benefit lines and full property description below. Move the complete operating blocks into Other details to note at the same time. Keep the distinct Additional rules requirements. The Neighborhood highlights draft now uses supported location context.
Listing areas: Title, Listing Description, Your Property, Guest access, Other details to note and Neighborhood highlights.
Evidence: Current host copy and reviews support the river, games and gathering space. The two supplied outdoor photos support the lawn, fire-pit seating, covered deck, hanging daybed and outdoor dining. The broader photo review also noted upper/lower porches and high ceilings in the living area.
Other evidence and limits: The copy makes no claim about current cleanliness, a precise story count, exact dimensions, a loft sleeping arrangement or grill availability. Business wording is preserved; bullets and dividers are presentation changes.
What we found: The retained September 24 photo metadata contains 51 unique records and no nonempty captions.
Why it matters: Captions can explain room layout, access and useful features that a photograph alone cannot communicate.
What to do: Write short, accurate captions that name the room or outdoor area and add one useful detail. Start with the river access, fire-pit area, covered decks, games and sleeping spaces. Check the actual image and property facts before writing each caption.
Listing areas: Airbnb photo captions.
Evidence: Airbnb recommends explaining important details the image does not show and clarifying how rooms fit into the floor plan.
Other evidence and limits: The count is from retained metadata. This report inspected only the two supplied outdoor photos, not the full gallery.
Platform and market signals: Try: hosts and listing professionals also report that useful, natural captions may help visibility. That possible search benefit is market-reported, not a confirmed Airbnb ranking boost. The clear benefit is helping guests understand the home.
Airbnb caption guidanceHost discussion retained in our research
What we found: The retained Airbnb sleeping map explicitly assigns three single beds to Living room. During the photo review, the space appeared to be an upstairs area near a landing, rather than the main living room.
Why it matters: Guests need to understand which beds are in bedrooms and which share a living or circulation space.
What to do: Check the actual room containing those three beds and correct its label and description in Where you’ll sleep. If it is open to a landing or living area, explain that plainly. The proposed copy retains the beds without calling the area a living room, loft or separate bedroom.
Listing areas: Where you’ll sleep / sleeping-arrangement room labels and Your Property.
Evidence: Captured source: “Living room” and “3 single beds.” The possible mismatch was raised during the reviewer’s inspection of other property photos.
Other evidence and limits: Neither of the two supplied outdoor images shows the sleeping area. This is a focused clarification, not a confirmed replacement room name or an inferred occupancy limit.
What we found: Two of eight reviews describe porch cleanliness problems: Guest G (September 2025, 3★) and Guest F (August 2026, 4★). Guest F also describes dog hair on a downstairs bed and floor.
Why it matters: The outdoor spaces are central to the river stay being offered.
What to do: First check whether the August report already resulted in completed corrective work. If it remains open, address porch seating, the hanging bed, fire-pit seating and downstairs bedding/floors at the next turnover, with a quick dish-and-silverware check. For future review responses, acknowledge the concern and state a specific real action; only describe a completed fix when it actually happened. Avoid a generic promise or blaming the guest.
Listing areas: Porches, outdoor seating, downstairs sleeping area and kitchen turnover.
Evidence: Guest F: “As in another review, the porches could use some cleaning.” The host apologized that cleaning was below its usual standards; the reply does not confirm a completed fix.
Other evidence and limits: Guest C (December 2025, 5★) called the home clean between those two reports. Guest D (September 2026, 5★) says “Love this place!” without describing cleaning. These reviews do not establish current condition.
The river was beautiful and we loved tubing! The house was spacious! As in another review, the porches could use some cleaning. The downstairs bedroom had an abundance of dog hair on the bed and piles on the floor. Over all would recommend this home but could use a more detailed cleaning.
Host response: Thank you for staying with us at Riverfront Cabin and for taking the time to share your review. We sincerely apologize that the cleaning was not up to our usual standards. We appreciate your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a much more enjoyable stay in the near future.
Had the outside porches been clean so we could use them to sit and enjoy the view of the river I would have felt differently. There was a wooden swing next to the grill on the upper porch that we could use and 1 chair that we were able to flip the cushions and sit on as long as we did not lean back. Everything on both porches was covered in spider webs, dirt, some mold. The swinging bed was extremely nasty. I was hoping to let the younger ones lay on it and listen to the river. We had to knock down spider webs and clean chairs to enjoy the fire pit. The flag needs replacing. Inside the house - The beds were comfortable. We found several dirty dishes and a good bit of silverware that we had to reclean to use. Defiantly not a chef's kitchen. The bathroom downstairs acted up any time one of the other 3 bedrooms were flushed by bubbling and spraying up. Any time someone walked upstairs the floor below hears everything. We will not visit again. Improvements needed.
Host response: No response retained.
Ten of us girls celebrated our 2nd Annual Christmas trip. We loved our time in the nearby town. The house is very nice, clean and the view of the river behind the house is breathtaking. We would definitely book here again. Thanks for everything Riverfront Cabin. We made some lovely memories.
Host response: We are so delighted you and your "girls" decided to make your 2nd Annual Christmas trip at Riverfront Cabin and for your kind review. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to welcoming you again in the near future.
Love this place!
Host response: Thank you for staying with us and for your review of Riverfront Cabin. We look forward to hosting you again in the future.
What we found: Guest E (January 2026, 5★) wrote that “one of the doors wouldn’t lock.” The door was not identified as interior or exterior.
Why it matters: A lock that does not work could affect guest safety, but the review does not identify the door or establish its current condition. A completed maintenance record may close this concern.
What to do: Check the existing maintenance record for the January report. If unresolved, check the affected door and fix any fault found. For future replies, acknowledge the concern and describe the actual action taken, without blaming the guest for not reporting sooner. Do not claim this door is repaired without a record or current check.
Listing areas: The door identified in the January guest report.
Evidence: The host apologized and said the issue had not been reported during the stay, offering help for future visits. That is not confirmation of repair.
Other evidence and limits: Three later reviews do not repeat the issue. This is one historical report, not evidence that a lock is currently faulty.
Awesome place by the water, wish it was a little closer to the nearby downtown, lived the amount of beds and bathrooms, one of the doors wouldn’t lock but other than that was great.
Host response: Thank you for choosing Riverfront Cabin for your visit to the nearby town. We sincerely apologize for the issue with the door not locking. We did notice this concern was not reported to Guest Services during your stay; please know that in the future, we are always happy to address and resolve any issues promptly to ensure a better experience. Thank you again for staying with us, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.
